Special Event Street Closures

Several downtown and neighborhood events will necessitate temporary street closures on Sunday morning and afternoon:

  • Rodeo Egress: The I-610 Westbound Kirby Drive exit ramp will be closed tonight from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM to facilitate safe exit traffic from the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo events at NRG Park.

Public Health Advisories

The Houston Health Department (HHD) and Harris County Public Health (HCPH) remind residents of the following active health notices:

  • Mosquito Surveillance: Health officials have confirmed the first positive West Nile virus mosquito samples of the 2026 season in North and Northwest Harris County. Residents are urged to eliminate standing water and use repellent when outdoors.
  • Measles Awareness: HHD continues to monitor community health following recent confirmed cases. Parents are encouraged to ensure vaccinations are up to date and to monitor for symptoms including high fever and a distinct rash.

This system introduces postcard-style summonses and same-day compensation via debit cards. Residents who have received a new summons should utilize the online juror portal for all reporting instructions and exemption requests.
