JetBlue to launch twice-daily nonstop New York JFK–Houston IAH flights starting May 21, 2026

New nonstop link between JFK and Houston begins in late May
JetBlue has announced it will add twice-daily nonstop flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), expanding the airline’s limited footprint in the Houston market. The service is scheduled to begin May 21, 2026, with flights available for sale immediately.
The carrier said the schedule is designed to offer two daily round trips, creating more same-day and short-stay options between the nation’s largest city and one of its busiest energy, medical, and aerospace hubs. The new route also positions Houston travelers for onward connections through JetBlue’s JFK network, where the airline operates as a major carrier.
Planned daily schedule and timing
JetBlue’s published schedule shows two daily departures in each direction. Morning service is slated to depart JFK at 7:54 a.m., arriving at IAH at 10:59 a.m., with a return flight leaving IAH at 11:50 a.m. and landing at JFK at 4:27 p.m. The second set of flights is scheduled to depart JFK at 1:41 p.m., arriving at IAH at 4:48 p.m., with the return leaving Houston at 5:44 p.m. and arriving in New York at 10:23 p.m.
- Route: New York (JFK) – Houston (IAH)
- Start date: May 21, 2026
- Frequency: Twice daily in each direction
How the route fits JetBlue’s current Houston service
The JFK–IAH flights are set to join JetBlue’s existing nonstop service between Houston and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). JetBlue operates at IAH rather than Houston’s William P. Hobby Airport (HOU), following its relocation of Houston operations to Bush Intercontinental in 2019.
At IAH, JetBlue passengers typically use Terminal A, which serves a mix of domestic carriers and is connected to other terminals via the airport’s internal people-mover systems.
Onboard product and customer experience details
JetBlue says the Houston–New York flights will include its standard onboard amenities, including complimentary snacks and nonalcoholic beverages, seatback entertainment, and Wi‑Fi availability. As with all airline schedules, flight times and operating plans remain subject to change.
JetBlue’s announcement describes the addition as a return of nonstop service between JFK and Houston, with two daily frequencies intended to broaden travel options between the two cities.
What travelers should watch next
For Houston-area travelers, the start of service will add another nonstop option to New York City while increasing competition on a major business corridor. Passengers planning trips around the May 21 launch date should monitor aircraft assignment, seat maps, and any subsequent schedule adjustments as the first operating day approaches.
