Louisiana Tech completed a four-game sweep of Houston Christian on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, finishing the series with an 11-0 victory shortened to seven innings under the run-rule in Ruston, Louisiana. The result left the Bulldogs 4-0 to start the season, while the Huskies exited opening weekend still searching for their first win.

The finale followed two competitive games the previous day and came after a high-scoring opener Friday night. Over the four games, Louisiana Tech won by scores of 17-5, 5-3, 6-4 and 11-0, outscoring Houston Christian 39-12 and holding the Huskies scoreless in the final game.

Houston Christian’s Ben Smith took the loss. The Huskies finished with two hits and committed one error. Louisiana Tech recorded 16 hits and also had one error.

His second home run was measured at 455 feet and helped push the margin further out of reach as Louisiana Tech extended its lead in the middle innings.

The Bulldogs added a decisive seven-run seventh inning to end the game early. The final frame included multiple consecutive hits and a two-run home run that pushed the margin to 11.
