FBI seeks ‘Subzero Suspect’ after armed robbery at Frost Bank on Almeda-Genoa Road in Houston

Investigation focuses on Jan. 27 robbery at southeast Houston branch
Federal investigators are asking for the public’s help to identify a man accused of carrying out an armed bank robbery at a Frost Bank in southeast Houston, an incident that authorities say did not result in injuries but involved threats with a handgun.
The robbery occurred at about 9:05 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026, at the Frost Bank located at 9990 Almeda-Genoa Road. Investigators say the suspect entered the bank, displayed a black handgun and ordered employees to lie on the ground. The suspect then took cash and fled on foot. The amount stolen has not been disclosed.
Suspect description and clothing details released
Authorities have released photographs of the suspect and a physical description intended to help generate leads. The suspect is described as an adult male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin build.
